The 4th Kilometre #5in25

26 09 2011

Having a look at my statistics before todays run made me realise my weakest point is always my fourth kilometre. It stays true for my diet as well, I always start to waiver on Thursday/Friday before a big finish. So with that in mind this week I’m going to give it my best shot to improve that and avoid the mental weakness late in the run and the week.

10.2kg of Christmas and #5in25 update

19 09 2011

Run Fatty – #5in25 and the 12kg of Christmas

12 09 2011

well that was a stuffed up running season. Must admit I didn’t achieve any of my personal running or weight loss goals. In fact I decided my blog name wasn’t accurate enough and put on a few extra kilos, this turned me into a nice fatty fat fat head. So now I’ve decided I need to do my best to make up lost ground before Christmas and my summer holidays. I’m not expecting to get a fully awesome beach body like David Hasselhoff, but looking a little less like Chris Connolly would make me happy. Read on for the plan!

Lets Get Running – Take 29

4 04 2011

With 20 weeks till the City 2 Surf I need to get running and shed some kilos. I’ve tried a few times this year to get my mojo back and actually get going but have failed miserably. With the weather improving here is a last ditch effort, if I want to run a marathon this year I need to get my legs going now. I have written a running program in blind hope that I’ll stick to it, each week consists of a Monday steady run, Wednesday hills or intervals, Friday fast and a weekend long. All I need is a spoonful of motivation and I’ll get through.

The Telstra HTC Mozart WP7 Wind Up

11 12 2010

Wow, two weeks flew by. Will be nice to move back to one phone after carting two around with me. Whilst I spent most of the time venting my thoughts on Twitter and Whirlpool etc. I thought I’d post a bit of a wind up here to hopefully summarise my thoughts

Applications on Windows Phone 7

11 12 2010

What apps do I use on a day to day basis? So far I have found a handful of apps that I use daily and a plethora of applications that are missing. The main point is that the app store or “Marketplace” is in its infancy so it should get better. But with developers making applications for iPhone, Android and WP7 in that order it will mean that WP7 is playing catch up all the time. Hopefully Microsoft will address this and make it attractive to make applications on their platform, I know they had a similar issue with the xbox when it was released but they are now firmly entrenched in that market. Another gripe I had was the lack of titles using the LiveTile.

Gaming on Windows Phone 7

2 12 2010

One of the attractive parts of Windows Phone 7 was the ability to use xbox live and have access to my gamer tag. I’ve downloaded quite a few games since I got my Windows Phone 7 so I can play games while Lucy sleeps on me or on the train on the way to work. The amount of quality games already available on the Marketplace is quite impressive and extensive compared to other application categories its obvious that Micrsoft see this as one of the main selling points for WP7.
